The Artist
Janet Cruise Halpin is a renowned Irish artist living and working in Laragh, Co. Wicklow, in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. Her studio overlooks the ancient oak woodland of Glendalough, and that deep sense of place infuses every canvas.
Working primarily in oil on canvas, Janet builds rich surface layers: ochre light through a forest canopy, the hush of morning mist over a lake, the muscular weight of stone. Her paintings have been exhibited widely across Ireland and are held in private collections internationally.
